Kendrick Brothers Movie in CharlotteThe Kendrick Brothers, producers of several hit faith-based films including; Fireproof, Courageous, and Facing The Giants just finished filming their latest movie around Charlotte and Concord. Their last movie, “Courageous,” grossed a total of $34 million while in theaters.

The film crew just finished filming movie #5 after 25 days shooting in several spots including downtown Concord and uptown Charlotte. The new movie will be distributed by Provident Films and AFFIRM Films, both divisions of Sony.

Some of their faith-based fan base have become extremely passionate about their movies. The Kendrick Brothers commented that one person recently drove more than nine hours just to be an extra in the film.

While filming in the greater Charlotte area, the Kendrick brothers included over 65 churches and 775 extras that become involved at some level of filming or production. The brothers have commented that they are unabashed at the fact that they are making movies to encourage and edify the church, and that they want to help believers in their daily walk. Their last two movies both told stories about victory in personal tragedy through the power of faith.

The greater Charlotte region continues to increase in popularity as a major movie filming destination, especially in light of the recent blockbusting hit ‘Hunger Games’ being filmed here as well.

The Kendrick Brother’s new “Movie Five” doesn’t currently have an official website, but you can keep track of the movie’s progress by visiting their Facebook page
