Roswell-Remembers-Memorial-Day-Ceremony#1 Roswell Remembers

Acclaimed as the largest Memorial Day Ceremony in Georgia, the city of Roswell hosts Roswell Remembers at the city hall from 10 AM – 2 PM.

The guest speaker will be Christina Olds, and the ceremony will include a 21-Gun Salute, National Anthem, Laying of the Wreath, and POW/MIA tribute.

A celebration will follow the ceremony to include music, food vendors, and activities for the whole family. The event is free to the public.

#2 Smyrna Memorial Day Ceremony

The City of Smyrna and the Smyrna Veterans Committee will host a Memorial Day Ceremony at the 20th Century Veterans Memorial across from city hall beginning at 9:30 AM.

memorial_day_smyrna_ceremonyGuest speakers will be Sergeant Grant McCarry and Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Keith Antonia. Music will be provided by the 116th Army Band, and the 94th Air Lift Command Honor Guard will present the colors.

The ceremony will conclude with the Laying of the Wreaths. The event is free to the public.

#3 The National Memorial Day Association of Georgia Memorial Day Ceremony

The National Memorial Day Association of Georgia will host its Memorial Day Ceremony at the Marietta National Cemetery beginning at noon.

The ceremony will include patriotic music, posting of the colors, a 21-Gun Salute, and guest speakers.

The event is free to the public.

#4 Stone Mountain-Salute the Troops

In addition to the Lasershow Spectacular in Mountainvision, an extended fireworks presentation will be shown accompanied by a musical tribute in recognition of military service members.

Active duty military will receive a free Adventure Pass with valid military ID.

#5 The Walk of Heroes Veterans War Memorial

A Memorial Day Ceremony will be held at the Walk of Heroes Veterans War Memorial beginning at 7 PM at Black Shoals Park in Conyers.

The guest speaker will be Senator Hunter Hill, who is chairman of the Senate Veterans, Military and Homeland Security Committee. The event is free to the public.
