A tornado caused significant damage in Garner, with numerous trees toppled and other destruction reported.
This afternoon, the National Weather Service issued at least two tornado warnings in Wake County, specifically targeting its eastern and south-central regions beginning around 12:30 p.m.
The NWS has now verified a tornado touchdown in Garner, NC, located just south of Raleigh, as confirmed by radar data.

Emergency crews are still out attempting to rescue trapped and injured individuals.
