Charleston is about to get it’s first rice flower donut shop.
The upcoming Goose Creek retail center will be home to the highly acclaimed donut and corn dog brand Mochinut, as confirmed by lease agreements facilitated by the commercial real estate agency NAI Charleston.
Launched in Cerritos, California, in 2020 by entrepreneur Jaewook Ha, Mochinut has expanded rapidly, boasting over 100 locations across the United States, along with international outlets in South Korea and Thailand. Mochinut is celebrated for its unique donuts made from rice flour, which are designed as eight interconnected small balls forming a ring. The menu features a variety of flavors, including strawberry funnel, matcha, Nutella, and yogurt.
Beyond their renowned donuts, Mochinut also offers donut balls filled with various cream flavors, innovative corn dogs coated in unique batters such as crispy ramen and Hot Cheetos, and a beverage menu that includes tea, coffee, and assorted soft serve ice cream.
