A unique new restaurant and chill-spot concept is gearing up to launch in the vibrant 16-acre Hayes Park development on Johns Island.
The Heyday, located at 605 Kindred Court, is slated for a grand opening in summer 2024, promising a modern sea island counter service café, market, and bar experience. With a focus on farm-to-table produce, fresh seafood, and partnerships with local suppliers, The Heyday aims to offer a culinary journey rooted in sustainability and community connections.
Operating daily, The Heyday will serve breakfast and lunch from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., followed by small plates from 4 to 8 p.m. Renowned chef Emily Hanh, a Top Chef alum, will curate the menu, highlighting the best of locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant’s ambiance will be enhanced by a charming wraparound porch, a cozy fire pit, and a full bar featuring cocktails on tap.
Adding to the lively atmosphere, live musicians will grace the venue during afternoons, adding a touch of entertainment to the dining experience. The Heyday’s pelican logo pays homage to the Lowcountry’s rich heritage, joining other notable businesses like Somm Wine Bar and High Steaks Butcher Shop within the Hayes Park community.
