Next week the legendary Atlanta BBQ festival is coming to town, and they are now planning on it being the biggest in history.
Slow cooked chicken, pork, and beef will mix with the sounds of rock, blues, and slow-smoked bluegrass in 2 weeks, from August 14th to the 15th.
Over 50 professional and amateur teams will be competing for over $17,000 in cash and prizes. Pit-masters demonstrate their best barbecuing techniques, which attendees can sample by purchasing barbecue samples from teams, while supplies last. Nearly a dozen of Atlanta’s barbecue restaurants will be selling full-sized portions off their menus, as well.
The festival will be taking place at Atlantic Station right behind the Regal Cinema on 20th Street.
