Wednesday evening, an unknown man walked into Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in downtown Charleston during a bible study and open fired. Eight people died in the church and a ninth passed away at the hospital. This horrific act is currently being investigated as a hate crime.
The gunman is still at large and police are asking for your help.
The suspect is in his early 20s and stands 5 feet, 9 inches tall. He’s wearing a distinctive grey sweatshirt and driving a small black car;

UPDATE: (10:15am) The at-large suspect has just been identified as 21-year-old Dylann Storm Roof from Lexington County, SC;
An active manhunt is taking place in several locations throughout the South Carolina Midlands.
UPDATE: (11:30am) The alleged Charleston shooter, Dylann Storm Roof, has been caught in Shelby, N.C., 45 min. west of Charlotte.
