Storm trackers with the National Hurricane Center are monitoring a growing tropical disturbance, Invest 92L, located about 400 miles east of Florida. The system could show tropical development as it approaches the southeast U.S. Uncertainty remains about its potential to strengthen, but warm waters could fuel its development.
Regardless, the disturbed weather is expected to move into parts of Florida and Georgia on Friday, increasing rain chances. High seas and dangerous rip currents are anticipated due to the storm system.
Hurricane Hunters are set to investigate the disturbance shortly.
Invest #92L has some nice spin, but can it get enough deep convection over it to organize further??? I will fight lots of dry air over its short 24+/- lifespan. Hurricane Hunters heading out shortly. pic.twitter.com/TXI3xmg2Xf
