Polk County Sheriff’s Office revealed the outcome of ‘Operation March Sadness 2024’, an intensive eight-day multi-agency undercover operation aimed at combatting human trafficking.
Led by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the operation targeted illicit activities associated with human trafficking, including solicitation of prostitution and facilitation of the trade.
As the operation unfolded, investigators uncovered disturbing details, including the involvement of foreign nationals in trafficking activities and the potential role of a female trafficker operating out of Miami.
In addition to the arrests, authorities seized a cache of illegal drugs and firearms from the suspects, further highlighting the dangerous criminal networks involved in human trafficking.
