Nashville is set to get its first Rainbow Crosswalk. Around 100 volunteers will gather at the intersection of 14th Street and Woodland in East Nashville to paint the rainbow.
The project is a collaboration between Metro Nashville LGBTQ Caucus, Council member Clay Capp, Nashville Department of Transportation, Nashville Pride, and the Lipstick Lounge.
The Lipstick Lounge is one of only 33 lesbian-owned bars left in the United States, according to The Lesbian Bar Project.
The painting event will take place at 9 a.m. on June 29, and everyone is invited to join.
