Tennessee’s Fall Creek Falls State Park (about halfway between Nashville and Knoxville) has just been named one of the top “hidden gem” destinations for summer travel by Tripadvisor.
The ranking, based on a study by Places to Travel, analyzed over 2,700 lesser-known destinations featured on TripAdvisor’s “hidden gems” list.
Fall Creek Falls earned the ninth spot, with over 78,600 average monthly Google searches.

The park, located in Van Buren County, recently expanded by 838 acres, adding to its already vast 29,800-acre area on the Cumberland Plateau.
The newly acquired land includes steep bluffs, rock houses, and caves, further enhancing the park’s natural attractions.
