The new world champion for water slides has just been completed. The new Verrückt located in Kansas City’s Schlitterbahn Waterpark features a 168-foot drop on a 7-in. slide, as well as a second hill with a subsequent second drop down another 50-feet.
The two men responsible for constructing this monstrosity were chosen to make the maiden voyage. Fortunately, waterpark designer Jeff Henry and ride engineer John Schooley survived their 17-story plunge, thus preventing them from joining the ranks of inventors killed by their own inventions.
