A new program is helping Tampa Bay Area teachers relax. At Thonotosassa Elementary School, teachers are enjoying the ‘Hug-A-Dog’ program by Kids and Canines, a non-profit that empowers kids and offers therapeutic benefits through dog training.
The program aims to provide teachers with a mental health break. Kids and Canines hopes to expand the program to more schools. They also offer a summer camp for kids to learn dog care and training.
