Over the weekend, a significant brush fire posed a serious threat near the picturesque Alafia River State Park. With flames rapidly spreading, emergency responders from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) mobilized to contain the inferno before it could escalate further.

Utilizing the expertise of their Aviation Unit, HCSO deployed a skilled pilot and tactical flight deputy to the scene. Employing precision maneuvers, the team effectively dropped a staggering 4,200 gallons of water onto the raging fire, halting its advance in its tracks.
