Amid an ongoing legal and jurisdictional battle in the border city of Eagle Pass, TX, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster of South Carolina has just joined forces with 24 other Republican governors in a unified statement backing the Texas Governor’s decision to continue to install more razor wire across the border and deny access to federal border patrol agents.
This joint endorsement, as detailed in a recent press release, includes governors such as Ron DeSantis of Florida, Greg Gianforte of Montana, and Kristi Noem of South Dakota.
“We stand in solidarity with our fellow governor, Greg Abbott, and the State of Texas in utilizing every tool and strategy, including razor wire fences, to secure the border,” said Governor Abbott in his statement. “We do it in part because the Biden Administration is refusing to enforce immigration laws already on the books and is illegally allowing mass parole across America of migrants who entered our country illegally.”
