The team from the successful food hall Gather Greenville is expanding their concept to Mount Pleasant with the new Gather MTP project, spearheaded by Mack and Doug Cross of Four Oaks Property Group. This project has been in development since 2022 and is set within a 5.5-acre site at the Midtown residential area along Rifle Range Road.
According to Charleston Today, Gather MTP will feature a mix of dining and leisure facilities, including a restaurant and brewery run by Crooked Hammock, a Delaware-based business known for its laid-back atmosphere and craft beers, which also opened a location in North Myrtle Beach in 2021. The plan also integrates a medical center extending from Hungry Neck Boulevard to Hancock Street.
The first phase, focused on creating a central gathering space, was reviewed by the town’s Design Review Board on April 24, with further evaluations scheduled for August. The restaurant component will be discussed in the coming month.
The envisioned development aims to become a pedestrian and cyclist-friendly hub that accommodates a variety of food, beverage, and retail outlets. More details on this evolving project will be provided as they become available.
