Southern Living has just ranked one of Charleston’s most popular music venues among the top in the nation.
In their latest edition, the magazine unveiled their list of the top 18 beach bars in the region, with Charleston’s Windjammer coming it at #3 overall – a beach bar so popular that the Red Not Chili Peppers will be performing there this weekend.
In describing the stage and vibe, Southern Living said, “The vibes are always high at The Windjammer, which fancies itself “Charleston’s premier beach club”. Located at Front Beach on Isle of Palms, this place has been rocking and rolling with live music drawing big crowds since 1972. With a large stage set up just beyond the dunes, there’s not a more stunning setting for a concert. There’s also no better place to stop for a drink on a deck.”
