Nashville’s Planned 25th-Floor Sushi Restaurant Will Take Public Reservations

A new Nashville sushi restaurant is planned 25 floors above Midtown—and its developer says you won’t need to own a condo or book a hotel room to make a restaurant reservation.

IKIGAI will occupy the rooftop level of VOCE Hotel & Residences, a mixed-use tower under construction at 1717 Hayes Street. The restaurant was unveiled in an October 29 announcement distributed through Business Wire.

The plan calls for a 6,200-square-foot dining and lounge space with seating for 145 guests. It combines Japanese-Korean fusion and a sushi bar with skyline views. Those are announced plans, rather than a restaurant already serving dinner.

A rooftop destination with public reservations

The developer says IKIGAI will accept reservations from the public as well as serve residents, hotel guests and members of the VOCE Collective. For locals following the tower, that public-access detail makes the restaurant more than a residential amenity.

ID & Design International is designing the space. The developer’s published rendering shows curved green seating, dining tables beside expansive windows, indoor trees and sculptural ceiling features. It is an architectural visualization, not a photograph of a finished dining room.

The restaurant and lounge are planned beside the building’s rooftop pool and cabanas. The announcement does not say a restaurant reservation would include access to the pool or other private amenities.

Where the restaurant fits into VOCE

The project’s official website identifies Vastland Company as the developer and Preston Partnership as the design architect. The Hayes Street address places it in Midtown, rather than on Lower Broadway or the East Bank.

VOCE’s broader plans combine residences, hotel services and office space. Its website lists approximately 45,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities, alongside a wellness center, spa, lounges, meeting areas and rooftop event space.

The company also describes an optional hospitality program for owners who want their residences professionally managed when they are not using them. That ownership program is separate from the announced ability for the public to reserve a table at IKIGAI.

What diners still need to know

The restaurant announcement does not provide an opening day, menu prices or a date when public bookings will begin. Readers should not treat the unveiling or the rendering as an invitation to visit now.

For a future dinner plan, the details to watch are the operating hours, reservation system and final menu. The developer’s website is the direct source for later project announcements; a confirmed restaurant opening would be a separate update.

For another Nashville destination already welcoming visitors, GlobalFlare has covered Dolly Parton’s downtown museum and its public-access details.
