According to the pest-control company Orkin, Charlotte is now ranked among the top buggiest cities in America.
After reviewing their 2016 numbers from the top 50 cities in America, the company found that Queen City ranked as the 19th busiest city for the number of bed bug treatments they performed.
Here were the top 20 buggiest cities over the past year:

“We have more people affected by bed bugs in the United States now than ever before. They were virtually unheard of in the U.S. 10 years ago.
Anyone can get bed bugs in their home. They are not a sign of uncleanliness. Bed bugs only need blood to survive. We have treated for bed bugs in everything from million dollar homes to public housing,” the report noted.
The company recommends that anyone who has had a prior infestation should set up bed bug traps around their home and spray their beds on a regular basis.
