Eli Lilly and Company opened its $2 billion Concord facility on Friday, bringing hundreds of high-paying jobs to the area. The facility will package and ship medicines globally.
North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper attended the ribbon-cutting, marking a project he helped facilitate over two years ago. Cooper stated the state will work with Eli Lilly to increase medication access for all citizens.
