A Florida man has been arrested for allegedly making threats against President Biden. This follows closely on the heels of an assassination attempt on Former President Donald Trump.
Jason Patrick Alday, 39, from Quincy, FL, was arrested by the U.S. Task Force and the Secret Service based on a federal criminal complaint. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Alday is accused of sending threatening communications against the President and federal officials.
An affidavit states Alday allegedly made threats against President Biden on June 25th while at a mental health facility in Tallahassee. In an interview with a Secret Service Senior Special Agent (SSA) at his parents’ home, Alday denied making the threats but became agitated and expressed his dislike for the President.
Investigators discovered threatening messages about the President and the SSA on an X/Twitter account linked to Alday on July 11th. Alday’s charge was announced after his initial federal court appearance in Tallahassee. The Secret Service continues to investigate the case.
