On Monday, early voting started for South Carolina Republicans who have been deciding between Presidential candidate on the Republican ticket, currently a choice between former Governor Nikki Haley and Donald Trump.
Haley, despite her local ties and previous gubernatorial experience, faces skepticism from Republican voters after losses in both Iowa and New Hampshire. With recent polls indicating Trump’s substantial lead over Haley at 75.8%, the consensus among voters is that Haley faces an uphill battle to close the gap. However, Haley’s known resilience leaves some voters hesitant to dismiss her chances entirely.
The official South Carolina Republican primary will take place in 10 days on Feb. 24th.
