The City of Tampa invites residents to a day of unity, reflection, and enjoyment. The parade kicks off at North 15th Street and East 21st Avenue, concluding at North 22nd Street and East Osborne Avenue.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade

January 15, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Downtown Brooksville

Downtown Brooksville hosts a parade commemorating the life, legacy, and dream of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., with active participation from city officials and local organizations.

Pasco County

MLK Celebration

January 15, 10:30 a.m. (symbolic march), 11 a.m. (celebration) | African American Club

MLK Dream Big Parade and Family Fun Day in St Pete

The parade traverses 1st Avenue South, complemented by the Family Fun Day at Tropicana Field Lot 4, offering kid-friendly rides, local cuisine, entertainment, and more.

Clearwater also celebrates with the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration, commencing with a march at 11 a.m. and concluding at Coachman Park for additional events and music.

Government Offices & School Closures

On January 15, all government offices and facilities in the Tampa Bay area will be closed in observance of the holiday. Tampa Bay schools will also be closed on January 15, resuming regular operations on January 16.
