This past weekend, a massive Halloween house party on Park Crossing in Daniel Island spun out of control, leading to several noise complaints, property damage reports, and traffic issues around the house.
According to Charleston PD, the house was filled with at least 500 guests. Upon arrival, officers witnessed several fights break out, numerous car accidents, and tons of underage drinking. It took them at least an hour to disperse everyone.
The homeowner told officers his intention was to allow his daughter to celebrate, and didn’t think things would get out of hand. Police issued him a livability citation.
In response to the event and in anticipation of further celebrations, the Charleston Police Department announced plans to increase patrols across the Lowcountry on both Monday and Halloween night.
