That’s right – from sandy shores to lush trails, admission fees to all 175 of Florida’s state parks are being waived for the holiday weekend. Governor DeSantis hopes this move will not only attract more visitors but also inject a boost into our local economies.
“I think part of the reason people have come to Florida is we have the best beaches, we have the best fishing, and we have the best state parks in the entire country,” DeSantis proudly stated. And who could argue? With a record-breaking 29 million visitors in 2023 alone, Florida’s state parks are beloved by locals and sought after by tourists.
