Tornado Watch Issued for Entire Tampa Bay Area Until 11 a.m.


The Tampa Bay area, including Citrus, Hernando, Pasco, Hillsborough, Pinellas, Manatee, and Polk counties, is under a tornado watch until 11 a.m. today.

Severe Weather Expected

Strong storms are forecasted across the region. The primary threats include damaging wind gusts and hail. There is also a chance of an isolated tornado. Rainfall is expected to range from 0.50 to 2 inches in certain areas.

The weather front causing these storms will move south throughout the day. As a result, rain chances will decrease from north to south by late afternoon.

Tomorrow’s Forecast

Tomorrow will bring slightly less humid air, but temperatures will remain warm, reaching the upper 80s. Rain chances will be minimal, with only a 10% chance of rain on Thursday and Friday.

Weekend Weather Outlook

Rain chances increase over the weekend. There is a 30% chance of rain on Saturday and a 40% chance on Sunday.
