During the opening, VA health enrollment and eligibility staff actively enrolled veterans for VA Health care services. Veterans brought valid identification and a copy of their Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty (DD Form 214) to receive services.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony symbolized the completion of a project initiated in 2016 with grant funding that consolidated multiple mental health programs into one 137,000 square foot facility.
The facility, strategically located on Temple Terrace Highway just west of U.S. 301, provides a full range of outpatient care for substance abuse, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and various general mental health conditions.
