Charlotte Catholic High School, a top prep program in North Carolina, has announced a new head coach with extensive collegiate experience, according to Footballscoop.com.
On Monday, the school revealed it had hired Keith Emery from Biff Poggi’s Charlotte 49ers staff, where Emery served as the director of high school relations. Emery had also been a coaching analyst for the 49ers and previously had a successful head coaching career at NCAA Division III Western New England University.
His other coaching stints include Johns Hopkins University, Providence Day School, and Myers Park.
Poggi praised the hire on social media, highlighting Emery’s qualifications. Emery becomes the fourth head coach in 50 years at Charlotte Catholic, a program with numerous state championships in its division.
