Kerry Lynn Stone, a 29-year-old former veterinarian from Mount Pleasant, has been charged with illegally prescribing and distributing narcotics in 2022, alongside Victoria Dianne Elizabeth Sherrill, a 30-year-old receptionist at the same veterinary clinic. The charges stem from Stone allegedly prescribing Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen to Sherrill without a legitimate medical reason, leading to the acquisition of over 1,000 controlled substance tablets.
Stone continued her veterinary practice at Best Friends Animal Clinic in Hanahan until her recent termination on February 2, after her charges came to light.
Despite the allegations, Stone’s veterinary license remains active.
