Get ready to pedal for a purpose, Tampa Bay! The statewide organization Moms Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is bringing its impactful ‘Ride Like MADD’ cycling challenge to our area for the third consecutive year, aiming to raise awareness about the dangers of impaired driving.
Each year in Florida, there are approximately 5,600 crashes linked to drunk or drugged driving, averaging over 15 incidents daily. The ‘Ride Like MADD’ challenge symbolizes victims affected by impaired driving, with participants biking at least 39 miles.

Participants in this virtual event can complete the challenge by biking outdoors, using a stationary bike at home, or hitting the gym. With every pedal stroke, cyclists advocate for safer roads. They also honor those whose lives have been impacted by preventable tragedies.
MADD Florida encourages participants to fundraise in support of their prevention programs. They emphasize the importance of starting conversations about this critical issue. Share your rides using #NoMoreVictims or #RideLikeMADD, and join the Strava group to connect with fellow cyclists.
