The City of Charleston is about to launch a major push to drastically increase the number electric cars around our city.
Later this month, the city will be partnering with the Drive Electric initiative to host a “Drive Electric Charleston” event, guided by industry experts and passionate owners.
Admission is free to all Charleston-area residents.
The event, held as part of National Drive Electric Week, will give residents an opportunity to learn more about the benefits of electric vehicles and will include food trucks, raffle prizes and more.

During this month’s event, you’ll be able to:
⚡ Boost your EV knowledge with hands-on demos, engaging activities, and interactive displays.
⚡ Explore a dazzling variety of electric vehicles, connect with local dealers, chat with experienced EV owners, and gain insights from charging installation experts and maintenance pros.
⚡ Uncover the three tiers of EV charging stations, demystify the world of vehicle charging, master the art of locating charging stations effortlessly, grasp available tax incentives, and have all your EV queries answered by the pros.
🍽️ And don’t forget the mouthwatering treats – local food trucks and Tradesman Brewing will be on hand to satisfy your cravings with delectable food and beverages available for purchase.
