Schenectady's Habitat for Humanity building homesThis afternoon was the ground breaking for The Schenectady Habitat for Humanity’s 46th home to be built for need families in the region.

Once completed, the new home at 323 Schenectady Street will mark over $5 million in total home value contribution by the organization.

Over the past 20 years, Habitat for Humanity of Schenectady County has partnered with volunteers, corporations, and the local community to provide safe, decent, affordable homes for families all across our region.

As both the builder and the bank, their unique model enables non-home owning low-income families, the opportunity to own a new home for about the same monthly money as they would pay for an apartment in the city.
