Exciting news for Tampa Bay – the city’s “Hope Cottages” are now open and welcoming their first residents!

  • These tiny homes, measuring just 64 square feet, provide essential amenities like a bed, air conditioning, heating, and storage space.
  • Built to withstand Category 5 hurricane-force winds, they offer safety and security to those experiencing homelessness.
  • Tampa collaborated with Catholic Charities to make this initiative possible, aiming to transition individuals from homelessness to self-sufficiency and permanent housing.

Involved in the project, Lou Ricardo explains that the goal is to move people from homelessness to self-sufficiency and permanent housing, identifying problems and maximizing opportunities for success.
