Today Charleston along with the majority of the lowcountry are experienced dangerous air quality due to massive smoke clouds from the Canadian wildfires.
Approximately half of South Carolina is now facing reduced air quality.
The National Weather Service in Charleston indicated sensitive individuals should take precautions today.

Most of the coast, including Beaufort and Savannah are in the “unsafe for sensitive groups” category. Those with lung conditions, the elderly, teenagers, and children are advised to limit outdoor activities.
