Earthquake Strikes Just Outside Bakersfield on Mother’s Day

napa-valley-earthquakeAn unexpected earthquake near Bakersfield has just shaken the entire Kern County region.

The quake struck around 3:42 yesterday afternoon, causing fissures in the ground about three miles southwest of Bakersfield.

The quake was felt all around, from the Pine Mountain Club; all the way out in the city of Maricopa, according to ABC news.

Currently they have yet to be any reports of major injuries from yesterday’s quake.
