Believe it or not, thousands of men around America are currently preying on women who occasionally drink too much. Some would say that it’s her responsibility to stop him and her fault if she can’t. It’s not. It’s on us.
This message was just sent out today by President Obama and Joe Biden as they launch their new sexual assault prevention campaign “It’s On Us.”
This campaign is coming directly on the heels of the White House Task Force to Protect Students from Sexual Assault, with the support of research that suggests 1 in 5 female college students will be a victim of rape. It’s part of the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its commitment to eradicating sexual violence on campus.
