Despite reaching the impressive age of 103, Lawrence shows no intention of taking it easy. His career spanned four decades as a master plumber and maintenance supervisor at the City of Charleston Housing Authority. Even after retirement, his dedication didn’t wane; he continued to ply his trade as a plumber for the Shiloh Seventh Day Adventist Church until he was 99.

Family members admire him for his unwavering work ethic and his commitment to serving his community.

Today, Lawrence still indulges in his passions: driving, cooking, and tackling various tasks around his home, proving that age is just a number when it comes to living a full and active life.
