bluefield-holiday-lightsThe Lotito Park Holiday of Lights in Bluefield is now officially the largest light display in the city’s history. The city continues to ammas new sections of light sculptures every year, and the new sections this year are surprisingly impressive. Crews began working on the light displays in the beginning of October, and although the display is now open, they are still putting the finishing touches on some sections.

Grounds Crew member Nick Harrison said the intense labor involved in bringing the Holiday of Lights together is worth the effort, including over 1,000 man hours so far this year.

“You see the excitement in the kids’ faces, it’s one of the things I look forward to most every year.” Harrison remarked.

The Holiday of Lights will be open until the first weekend in January with hours on Sunday through Thursday of 6-9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 6-10 p.m. Santa will be visiting Lotito Park on Dec. 6 and 7.
