Boeing just announced a massive deal with China Airlines to build 16 new 787s in Charleston for roughly $2.1 billion.
The deal will add hundreds of new jobs to our region and boost overall economic impact around the Boing plant in North Charleston.
According to a statement from Boeing, the new planes will have an expected delivery date of 2025 and will replace China Airlines’ aging Airbus A330 fleet.
