Calling All Anglers: Free Fishing Day Is Coming To Tennessee This Weekend

Mark your calendars and prepare your fishing gear, because this Saturday, Tennessee is hosting its highly anticipated Bobby Wilson Free Fishing Day!

You won’t need a license to drop a line in the water this time around, as the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency has decided to waive that requirement for the day.

But the fun doesn’t stop there! If you’ve got youngsters eager to try their hand at angling, children aged 15 and under can enjoy an entire week of free fishing. Starting this Saturday and running through to Friday, June 16, it’s an unbeatable opportunity to introduce the next generation to the joys of fishing.

Remember, this free fishing extravaganza applies to all public waters in Tennessee, including TWRA-owned lakes, operated lakes, and state park facilities. So grab your fishing rod, pack some snacks, and head over to your favorite fishing spot for a day (or a week) of fun-filled, free fishing!
