Governor Henry McMaster will hold ceremonial signings for two recently enacted bills on Wednesday morning in the Upstate.
The governor will sign H.4624, the “Help Not Harm” bill, and H.3434, the Child Online Safety Act. The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church North Spartanburg.
The Help Not Harm Act prohibits minors from undergoing gender-transition procedures and bans state and Medicaid funding for such treatments. It also requires school staff to disclose students’ gender identity information to parents.
The Child Online Safety Act mandates age verification for pornographic websites to prevent children from accessing them.
