In a striking display of firearm confiscation, the North Charleston Police Department has just announced one of the largest seizures of illegal firearms this year.
In total, the officers of NCPD confiscated 41 guns, each either unlawfully carried or illegally possessed in the streets around Charleston.
The initiative by the department led to 42 arrests for a variety of charges ranging from assault with a deadly weapon to disturbing the peace.
