An extremely powerful 7.8 magnitude earthquake just struck near the southern coast of Alaska, triggering emergency tsunami warnings all along the coast.
The quake struck at exactly 10:12 pm with an epicenter of 65 miles southeast of Perryville, AK and a depth of 17 miles.
Residents of coastal towns and cities fled inland through the night in anticipation of the coming tsunami waves.

Some now fear that last night’s massive quake could dislodge the Cascadia subduction zone and trigger an overdue 9+ magnitude quake along Northern California, Oregon, and Washington State.
And the earthquake was only 8 miles deep that is damn near on the surface it could be a foreshock I pray it isn’t but only time will tell and pray the Cascadia subduction zone don’t let lose that Alaska, washington state, and Oregon, and parts of California 9+ Possible
