Famed Charleston chefs Shuai and Corrie Wang have finally opened their much-awaited Chinese barbecue restaurant, King BBQ, at 2029 Carver Ave. in North Charleston.
Despite local excitement for King BBQ, highlighted by sold-out pop-ups at various locations, it also caught national attention, with Bon Appetit naming it one of the “10 Most Anticipated Restaurant Openings of Fall 2023.”

The restaurant boasts a unique cocktail list curated by bar manager Amy Kallicragas and offers both meat-centric dishes like heaping bbq pork sandwiches and thick phoa, as well as vegan options, ensuring a diverse menu for patrons of all walks of life.
