Record-Breaking Richlands Native Was Just Drafted By The Chicago White Sox

Bradley Strong chicago white soxRichlands, VA native Bradley Strong has officially been drafted by the Chicago White Sox.

Strong was chosen in the 28th round by the Sox. He had a record breaking career at Richlands high school, after which he batted an average of .322 in his four-year career at Western Carolina.

At Western Carolina, he set a school record with 18 triples and 65 stolen bases. He won the Louisville Slugger All-America selection last season, as well as the All-America preseason season team honoree.

He is the first Richlands native to be drafted into the major leagues since since Ed Sparks was chosen in the 47th round in 2000.
