Video of Snake Stealing An Egg From This Charlotte Kitchen is Now Going Viral


Robert Hildreth and Laura Neff, who live just west of Uptown Charlotte, have just become viral YouTube stars after posting a video of a home intruder trying to steal one of their eggs.

The video was viewed over 150,000 times last night, today it is expected to hit well over 1 million views.

Neff initially heard a bang in his kitchen, then walked in to discover the long black snake slithering from their spice cabinet to their egg basket on Sunday evening, they grabbed an iPhone and shot this video;

To answer some of your questions, Laura commented on her Youtube channel that;

– Rat Snake, otherwise known as Black Racer. Non-venomous, beneficial due to their penchant for eating rodents and (OUTSIDE) eggs.

– It got in through a hole in our laundry room floor, which is now covered by a VERY heavy concrete block and which will soon be permanently plugged.

– Yes, we let it finish the egg.

– Using two brooms, a whole lot of patience, nudging, and encouraging, we finally convinced it that going out the open window was a MUCH better option than slithering away behind the fridge! As soon as we could get its bulk under the brooms, we hefted it out the window, and off it went to the rest of its evening.
